Description
Established in 1944, the WBG is one of the world's largest sources of funding and knowledge for development solutions. In fiscal year 2018, the WBG committed $67 billion in loans, grants, equity investments and guarantees to its members and private businesses, of which $24 billion was concessional finance to its poorest members. It is governed by 188-member countries and delivers services out of 120 offices with nearly 15,000 staff located globally.

The WBG consists of five specialized institutions: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA), which together form the World Bank (WB); the International Finance Corporation (IFC); the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA); and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). The WB is organized into six client-facing Regional Vice-Presidencies, several corporate functions, fourteen Global Practices and five Global Themes to bring best-in-class knowledge and solutions to regional and country clients. The WBG Strategy, endorsed by the Governors at the 2013 Annual Meetings, sets a framework to align all WBG activities and resources to the two goals of ending extreme poverty and building shared prosperity in a sustainable manner. To contribute to achieving the two goals, the WBG seeks to build on its comparative advantage and work with public and private partners to contribute to the global development agenda through dialogue and action on development challenges; support clients in delivering development solutions; work as one WBG leveraging the strengths of each institution; and help advance internal and external knowledge exchange and learning, including learning from client and citizen/beneficiary feedback.

Duties and Responsibilities
Operational and Administrative support
Provide support for preparation and implementation of World Bank projects and activities according to Bank procedures.Provide Direct support to projects missions in Tunisia, including: monitoring, editing and formatting correspondences, review of data, preparation of presentations, charts and tables, write-up of the aide-memoires for the review, translating Arabic/English short documents, relevant to the work of the team, such as reports, memos and articles.Provide quality control by monitoring documents for accuracy, ensuring adherence to unit and Bank guidelines and procedures.Draft minutes of meetings and provide assistance in editing large documents.keep abreast of the Organization?s directives and ensure effective processing of all project documents.Participate in the review of project documents with Operations teams, as well as assist Task Teams in the review of packages to make sure that the program documents include all comments, making full use of shared drives and software capabilities.Ensure and promote compliance with MNC01 Guidelines and timely follow up on the necessary clearances and Country Manager signature.Perform project SOE review on project to confirm eligibility of expenses incurred. Support TTLs in Monitoring budget dynamics (variable cost in particular).Support in Operations portal processing (in particular on projects in preparation, all portal aspects, but also routine supervision-related requests such as effectiveness date extensions, ISRs, milestones update and follow up etc.)Assist TTLs in getting support and guidance from HQ (OPCS, GP RM and ACS) on portal, project processing and issues.Actively participate in project field mission as per the request of supervisor.
Time Management and Logistic Planning
Arrange working schedule and meeting with counterparts for the visiting teamsCo-ordinate time management and schedules, taking current and future priorities into account, anticipate and monitor changes, and communicate the informationTrack assigned tasks/project steps/ timetables using modern office management technologies, coordinate with relevant staff, provide assistance and/or information on project-related mattersSolve non-routine problems proactively, creatively and resourcefully and assist in preparation and logistical planning for various events, e.g. conferences, workshops, negotiations, board presentation and signing, etc. Assist in delivery of events and workshops organized by the team, advise to keep them up to date on the recent operational policy, procedures and quality review issues.Coordinate meetings with high officials and external clients.
Data and Information Management
Collect and input data provided by Task Team Leaders into the central database, including processing new project status reports.Maintain up-to-date divisional project files (both paper and electronic) and retrieve data from various sources and compile these for use by the Country Manager and/or the Country Management Unit (CMU).Maintain a current database of contacts for Tunisia.Create and maintain standard distribution lists for each project and cross-verification.Maintain up-to-date filing system for Program Leaders and task team leaders (TTLs) based in/outside Tunisia related to correspondences and reports.Disseminate in a timely manner the internal and external distribution of correspondences to the concerned parties with the proper electronic filing (WBdocs).Provide immediate response to TTLs on projects status. Ensure clear communication with clients in compliance with Bank?s guidelines.Respond to all inquiries and ensure good communication between CO and Sector Units.Contribute/support the teams for the MENA input and response to the Regional Corporate Scorecard.
Other Duties
